Introduction
We have 3 self-catering apartments in a converted listed Coach House.
Pre-arrival
- You can contact us via our website or by phone, fax, letter or email.
- Directions available for arrival by car. Taxis from Louth or Grimsby.
- Train station at Grimsby, bus station in Louth.
- On arrival at the Coach House, the car park is marked to the right towards the farm yard.
Arrival & car parking facilities
- Ample off-road car parking available.
- Drop-off on hard-standing for access to ground floor apartments.
- Car park to Coach House is a gravel surface, not ideal for wheel chairs or buggies.
Main entrance & reception
- Main entrance, large door open daylight hours.
- Brick floor at entrance/reception, similar to downstairs apartments.
Public areas – general (internal)
- Floors on ground floor are brick, stone or cobbled in reception and patio area.
- There are no steps, but nor are they completely level and some are rough.
- Granary apartment is carpeted throughout, access via stone steps with hand rail to first floor.
- Stables apartment is our most accessible apartment, level throughout (though floors are uneven) with a wet floor shower. Wheelchair access – minimum door width 740mm.
Public areas - WC
- Not available.
Restaurant / dining room, bar & lounges, take away & cafe
- The lighting in living areas has dimmer switches.
- We ask that guests refrain from smoking in the apartments.
- All dining chairs are movable and tables fold for flexibility in use of space.
Laundry
- Washer/driers available in each apartment.
- Linen and towells changed weekly.
Shop
- Not available.
Leisure facilities
- Table tennis and other games available.
- Rocking horse, climbing frames available for children.
- Central area/reception has games, maps, DVDs, videos, books etc.
Outdoor facilities
- Large garden available to guests, some suitable for wheel chairs with grass and gravel, mostly level. Tennis court, football etc. available.
- Enclosed toddler-proof grassed area for safe children’s play area.
- Car park and immediate area around Coach House lit all night.
Conference & meeting rooms, banqueting, clubs, entertainment
- Granary apartment is suitable for meetings but there is no wheelchair access.
Bedrooms
- All bedrooms carpeted in Granary, wooden floors with rugs in Stables and Saddle Room.
- Ample space at end of beds, limited to either side on ground floor.
- Lighting has dimmer swiches.
Bathroom, shower-room & WC (ensuite or shared)
- Stables has wet floor shower.
- Others conventional shower and seperate bath.
- Lever taps throughout on basins and baths.
- Support rails in all showers.
Self-catering kitchen
- All kitchens open plan.
- Electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/drier in all apartments.
- Lever taps in all kitchens.
- Brick floor in Stables, wooden up 2 steps in Saddle Room and tiled in Granary.
Grounds and gardens
- Grounds and gardens of Brackenborough Hall are available for guests to enjoy.
- Lawns and gravel mostly level, moat surrounds and garden pond are potential hazards.
- Farm also available to walk. Some not suitable for wheel chairs.
Additional information
- We request that smokers refrain from smoking in apartments.
- Dog bowls always available.
